The USD 417 Board of Education met Monday night, December 9, for its regular monthly meeting. The evening began with a performance by the CG Singers, followed by the approval of the consent agenda. Items approved included the minutes from the November 11 and November 20 meetings, financial reports with payments totaling $420,362.15, and updated policies on student conduct, tobacco-free grounds, dress code, and weapons. Personnel changes were also finalized, including the hiring of Kara Acosta as the Junior High Quiz Bowl Coach and the upcoming retirements of Tina Wheeler, Elementary School Counselor, and Barb Goodman, Prairie Heights Nurse’s Aide, both effective in May 2025.
