On Saturday, February 22, 2025, The Dealership Building in Council Grove was abuzz with civic engagement as it hosted a well-attended Legislative Forum. The event, sponsored by the Alex Reinecke Farm Bureau Financial Services Agency, brought together two distinguished guests: 17th District Kansas Senator Mike Argabright and 68th District Representative Nate Butler.

A bridge replacement project is scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 24, on 130th Road in Chase County. The bridge is located over the Cottonwood River, about 1 mile west of Cedar Point.
