Fourth-grade students took part in the Twin Lakes Water Festival on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Canning Creek Campground at Council Grove Reservoir.
The educational event brought students to the lake for curriculum- based activities focused on water and natural resource conservation, water science and biology, water technology and protection, and wildlife that depend on water.
Through hands-on activities, the festival was designed to help students understand the importance of a clean and plentiful water supply, develop respect for a healthy environment and encourage wise use of natural resources.
