Manhattan couple brings Discovery 250 relay baton to CG

Bill and Katie Allen of Manhattan provided an important link in the nationwide Discovery 250 Relay on Monday, carrying the baton from Herington to Council Grove by bicycle. After receiving the baton in Herington, the couple rode to Council Grove, where they handed it off to relay coordinator Mike Leland (right). The baton leaves Council Grove early this morning, traveling through Allegawaho Memorial Heritage Park and along the Flint Hills Trail.
