Kari Anderson of Leavenworth Kansas passed away Sunday, March 19.

Mary Elizabeth Picolet, 75, of Topeka, formerly of Council Grove, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was born July 5, 1947 in Council Grove, Kansas, the daughter of William and Sarah Lottie (Orton) Cashman.

Marjorie N. (Michaelis) Martin Heller passed away March 8, 2023 at the Via Christi Village, Manhattan, Kansas with family by her side. She was born January 2, 1931, to the late George P. Michaelis and Gladys A. (Stovall) Michaelis in McFarland, Kansas.

Clyde’s life began on November 27, 1925, on the family farm south of Latimer. He is the son of Theodore “T.W.” and Mae (McCann) Kasten. Clyde spent all his life in the Latimer area except three years when the family moved to Wakefield, KS. In 1942, they made a move back to the farm east of Latimer and started farming with his father.

Born August 28, 1932, to Alvie and Freda Hadway, in Kelso, KS. She passed away February 21, 2023, in Richland, WA.

Lawrence (Larry) Ralph Cordell Lawrence “Larry” Cordell of Council Grove, Kansas, died February 19, 2023, at Diversicare of Council Grove. He was born February 18, 1939, in Hartman, Colorado and moved to Kansas at an early age. Larry graduated from Soldier Kansas High School in 1957, attended Kansas State University, and graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1964 with B.S. degrees in Agriculture and Botany.

Funeral Services for Freda A. Venning, 102, Emporia, Kansas, will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Burial in Bushong Cemetery, Bushong, Kansas will follow. Mrs. Venning passed away at Sunflower Care Center, Emporia, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

Dr. C. Richard Powell, who practiced dentistry for more than 50 years in Evergreen, Colorado, died February 5, 2023, in Minnesota. He was 91.

Carolyn’s life began on August 12, 1949 at Newman Hospital in Emporia. She is the daughter of Kelcie and Evelyn (Cowles) Harder. Carolyn attended college at Emporia State University where she received her MRS degree when she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dwight Reust, on August 3, 1968 at the Emporia Church of the Nazarene.
