Virginia M. Clark

Virginia M Clark, 88, of Lawton, Oklahoma and Council Grove, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on November 21, 2024.

She was born on October 3, 1936 in Keats, Kansas to Michael and Ann (Thorp) Hannan. Virginia graduated from Medicine Lodge High School. She married Curtis Leroy Clark on July 5, 1956. To that union they had four children. Virginia worked several years as a Med Aide in nursing homes in Kansas and Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her yard.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Michael Hannan, her son, Michael Clark, and her husband, Curtis.

After the loss of her husband of 51 years, she moved to Council Grove to be close to her daughter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Council Grove. She later moved to Lawton to be near her son.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Debra Carson and significant other, Gary, of Kirksville, MO; and Barbara Goodman and husband, Fred, of Council Grove, KS; her sons, Curtis Clark, Jr and wife, Belen, of Las Vegas, Nevada and John Clark and wife, Agreda, of Fletcher, OK; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Council Grove, Kansas or to the Complete Health and Hospice, of Lawton, OK.
