Ruth Ann Evans

Ruth Ann Evans, 74, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on February 9, 2024, at Stormont Vail Flint Hills Campus after a valiant battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place and she will be brought back home with her husband.

Ruth Ann was born on November 7, 1949, to Jess and Ester Caviness, in Versailles, Missouri. She grew up with four brothers and one sister.

After a long engagement of love and joy, she married Donald Evans on September 8, 1989, in Miami, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage together. Out of this union, two families were blended together creating one big family.

Ruth Ann was a caretaker. She made sure to take care of everyone she met and never knew a stranger. She will be deeply missed by her family and the people she took care of over the years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; one daughter, Rhonda Ivie of Stover, Missouri; one stepson, Kent Evans of Columbus, Georgia; a host of loving grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one daughter, Rebecca Reed and one step-daughter, Tamara Lynn Monden.
