Nadine Claire Russell

Nadine Claire Russell (Wessel), 88, of Topeka passed away on September

14th, 2022. Nadine was born to Henry D. & Esther Wessel on June 23rd, 1934 in Emporia, Kansas. She would go on to graduate from Council Grove High School, and work at Hallmark in Emporia. For 35 years, Nadine owned and operated Midway Auto Supply with her husband. She would retire from their business in 1995.

Nadine will be remembered as someone who enjoyed gardening and fishing. As a wonderful mother, she loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Nadine in passing are her parents, and her spouse of 56 years, Bill Russell. Also preceding her in passing are her sister, Maxine Soule & brother Ronald Wessel. Nadine is survived by her three daughters; Joleen (Ronald) Probst, Becky (Ron) Griffith, and Kathy (Allan) Siegrist. She also leaves behind a Brother, Henry Wessel, and a Sister, Ella Mae Keiffer. In addition, Nadine leaves behind 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 17th, 1:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Midland Hospice Care.
