Lorna R. Newton

Born August 28, 1932, to Alvie and Freda Hadway, in Kelso, KS. She passed away February 21, 2023, in Richland, WA.

Lorna married Claude Newton on October 9th, 1948, in Council Grove, KS. They had two sons, Jimmy Newton, Pasco, WA and Danny Newton who passed away in 1973.

Lorna worked at Dolly Madison Bakery in Emporia, KS until her retirement. She enjoyed many things during her life. Water skiing, camping, traveling. She loved living at Council Grove Lake and she made many friends there. You would always see her doing yard work, taking care of her flowers, or picking something in her garden. She enjoyed taking pontoon rides around the lake with Claude and fishing.

She moved to Pasco, WA to be closer to her family in 2011.

Lorna is proceeded in death by her parents (Alvie and Freda Hadway), husband (Claude Newton) and son (Danny Newton). She is survived by her son Jimmy (Janet) Newton, Pasco, WA., Granddaughters Terrah Boyd (Jim) Kennewick, WA., Jodie Newton, Pasco, WA., and two Great-Grandchildren, Gracie Monds (Nick) Spokane, WA., and Colton Boyd, Kennewick, WA.
