November 25, 1939 – October 3, 2026 Dale James Herbstreith passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 86.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie James Herbstreith and Helen Francis Herbstreith; his sister, Mary Trostle; and Flora Rose Myers, with whom he was reunited and spent many wonderful years together before her passing.
Dale is survived by his brothers, Jerry Herbstreith and Bill Herbstreith; his son, James Herbstreith and wife Nancy Herbstreith; granddaughters Cheree Mazzuca and husband Vince Mazzuca, and Amanda Herbstreith; great-granddaughter Kyrah Herbstreith; and great-grandsons Vinny Mazzuca and Giovanni Mazzuca.
He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Cynthia Meyers, and granddaughter AnnaRose Meyers; stepson Rod Meyers and daughter Leah Rose Meyers; and Flora’s sister-in-law, Sandra Hartman. Dale was a very strong person who was always willing to help others, often putting everyone else before himself. He was too proud to ask for help, even when he needed it. In his final months with us, despite everything he was going through, he continued to ask how everyone else was doing and made sure they were okay. His own struggles were never as important to him as making sure the people he loved were taken care of.
That was simply the kind of dad he was—strong, caring, and always putting others first.
