Adam Lane Brooks
Adam Lane Brooks, 21 passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Adam was welcomed into this world on August 4, 2004, in Chanute, Kansas to Kevin Maher and Tiffany Brooks. Adam was a 2022 graduate of Fredonia High School. Throughout his academic career, Adam was an active participant in all sports. He finished his senior year playing basketball, powerlifting, and competing in multiple track and field events – his favorite being pole vault. He loved the energy and camaraderie that came from being part of a team, and staying active was simply part of who he was.
After high school, Adam continued feeding his competitive spirit as a member of the local men’s basketball league. He had an adventurous heart and playful soul – always ready to go fishing, curl up with the family animals and watch a funny movie, or dive into a new drawing. His artistic talent was undeniable; his sketches carried a depth and emotion that made them unforgettable. Adam also carried a fierce passion for welding, a craft he poured his whole heart into. He was proudly continuing his education in diesel mechanics, building a future shaped by hard work, grit, and the determination that defined him.
One of Adam’s greatest joys was game night. Whether surrounded by family, best friends, or both, he was always the first to pull out a deck of Uno cards or the dice for Farkle. He loved bringing his people together, making them laugh, and turning ordinary evenings into memories.
More than anything, Adam cherished time with his children, Kohen, Parker and Presleigh. Being their dad was the role he was most proud of.
