Toni Marie Peterson

Toni Marie Peterson, 66, died May 31, 2026. She was born April 26, 1960, in Emporia, to Charles and Barbara (Beardmore) Sisson. Toni worked for Mark Miller Produce then at the Strong City grocery store. She spent most of her career working at the Chase County Courthouse as deputy treasurer, the County Attorney’s office for Bill North and retired as deputy clerk. Toni enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

On November 27th, 1982, she married Tim Peterson.

Toni is survived by: husband Tim, of the home; sons, Matthew Miller of Strong City, Tyler Peterson and wife Nikki of Cottonwood Falls; grandchildren, Clark, Alexys, Cooper, Braden, Angela, Dylan, Lee; siblings, Kathy Cain, Charlene Sisson Potter, Buddy Sisson and wife Dawn; and nieces and nephews, Bob Cain, Brittany Cooper, Andrew Sisson and Alex Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and former daughter-in-law, Lacey Cooper.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Flint Hills Community Church, with Pastor Dave Thomas officiating. Family will greet friends before and after the service.
