Ronald Leland “Pete” Peterson

Ronald Leland Peterson (Pete), 86, of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, passed away October 15, 2023.

Ron was born July 23, 1937, in Parkerville, Kansas. After graduating from Council Grove High School, he married Leona Lamb in Great Bend. They went on to have a daughter Tracey and sons Tim and Todd.

Ron later married Jean Ensminger with daughter Lori and son Vin. Jean passed away January 9, 2016, and Ron relocated to Strong City Kansas.

Over the years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and had an interest in tackling any project he could put his own spin on to fix up and improve.

Ron was predeceased by wife Jean, parents Charles and Edna (Read), brothers Charles, Jerry and sister Wilma. His daughter Tracey passed as an infant.

He is survived by children Tim Peterson (Toni) of Strong City Kansas, Todd Peterson (Julie) Estherville, IA, Lori Canslor (Skip) Alma, Kansas and Vin Ensminger of Alma, Kansas.

Grandchildren are Matt Miller, Tyler Peterson (Nikki), Cody Peterson (Makalia), Levi Peterson, Brooke Perkins (Jason) and Ashley Hartkopp (Grant). Great-grandchildren are Braden Peterson, Clark Miller, Alexys Miller, Cooper Miller, Haley Smith, and Braxton Westergard.
