A multimillion-dollar federal grant will fund improvements to the Flint Hills Nature Trail in the Council Grove area.U.S. Senator Jerry Moran announced Aug. 12 that a $24.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation was awarded to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for the Flint Hills Trail:
