The Council Grove Area Foundation (CGAF) will host its annual Match Day event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at the Territory Ballroom, 119 W Main Street, Council Grove.
Few outside Council Grove expected the Braves to hang tough with the second-ranked Nemaha Central Thunder in Friday night’s Class 2A regional championship. But those who made the trip saw a determined Council Grove squad that refused to back down, playing physical, disciplined football and proving they belonged among Kansas’s best.
A Veterans Day ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Council Grove Recreation Department, formerly known as the Armory, located at 1020 E. Main Street in Council Grove, Kansas.
The First Congregational Church, 400 W. Main St. in Council Grove, will host its annual Chicken Noodle Dinner from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, November 13.
The Morris County Commissioner meeting was called to order on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Commissioners David Fox, Jim Barber, and Wayne Kohler were present. Bill Kassebaum, County Counselor, and Chelsey Schmidt, County Clerk, were present.
