City Council To Meet

The Council Grove City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at City Hall. On the agenda are City Lake Committee recommendations for lots J-18 and I-35, a Police and Fire Committee recommendation for the promotion of Terry Lif to the rank of Sergeant at the Council Grove Police Department, employee merit raises and an executive session regarding the Council Grove City Lake.

MOOSE AND WINDDANCER-Scott and Kelly Jury will portray Moose, a plainsman and buffalo hunter, and Kelly Jury will portray his Lakota wife WindDancer at the Gunfight on the Santa Fe Trail 2022. Together, the pair bring to life history and entertain visitors on the plains of Kansas and tales of the Lakota. With over 30 years of experience in living history, Moose and WindDancer will educate and entertain people of all ages. Scott is a 1989 graduate of Council Grove High School, while Kelly is a lifetime Kansan who grew up in Lyons.
