Outdoor Mentors Develops Future Hunters, Anglers
Eric Brown, Program Coordinator for Outdoor Mentors (OM), was the guest speaker at this week’s Council Grove Rotary Club. OM began as a byproduct of the Big Brothers program. Since there were a lot of boys on the waiting list for a Big Brother, discussion began about creating outdoor mentors.
Ag Heritage Park Celebrates Fall & Barn Quilts Sept. 24
Ag Heritage Park plans a fun day Saturday, September 24 in Alta Vista, celebrating fall and barn quilts. The highlight of the day will be the barn quilt drawing scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
Driver Pulls Out In Front Of Truck
A 2022 Dodge Charger driven by Amy Price, 32, of White City, was traveling southbound on KS 149 on August 20. After coming to a stop at the intersection of KS 149 and US 56, she made a lefthand turn onto US 56, pulling out in front of a 1997 Ford F150 drive by Joseph Bolieu, 40, of Salina. He was unable to avoid striking Price. Jessica Bolieu, 47, was a passenger in the pickup. Price was not wearing a seatbelt but the Bolieu’s were.
