Christopher Callaham Arrested For Robbery

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Junction City Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted an intensive law enforcement investigation Wednesday to locate the White City bank robbery suspect. At approximately 10 p.m., the suspect, identified as Christopher J. Callaham, age 35 of Junction City, was captured at a motel in the Junction City area. He was arrested by JCPD officers on the felony arrest warrant for aggravated robbery.

White City and Herington to Receive $1,250,000 Each for Highway Improvements

Governor Laura Kelly announced Wednesday that 34 cities across Kansas have been selected to receive a total of $28.65 million for improvements to the State Highway System located within city boundaries. Herington and White City were both on the list with each one of them being designated to receive $1,250,000. The state funds are being directed to preserve and improve pavement, add turn lanes, and modify intersections along essential roadways throughout the state.
