County Purchases 360° Crime Scene Camera; Facilities Suffer Water Leak/Heat Loss

At Tuesday’s meeting of the Morris County Commissioners, the commissioners received a Diversion Fund Request from the County Attorney for the purchase of two 360 Degree 4K Video Digital Cameras. The cameras would be used by the Morris County Sheriff’s Department and the Council Grove Police Department for crime scene photos. Discussion was held regarding the Morris County Sheriff’s Department and the Council Grove Police Department sharing one camera.

LIGHT UP COUNCIL GROVE WINNERS -- The Anderson Family, at 101 S. 9th Street, won the first place grand prize of $500 in the Light Up Council Grove Contest sponsored by the Council Grove Area Trade & Tourism Association. The decorated home themed after the popular Christmas movie, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” has taken the top prize two years in a row. Second place and a prize of $250 went to the McEuen Family at 603 Westview Court, and third with a prize of $150, went to The Jimerson Family at 700 Meadow Drive.
