Free community Christmas dinner at First Baptist Church
A free community Christmas dinner is offered again this year by the First Baptist Church, 501 Country Lane. Dine in is available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with carryout available at 11 a.m. Delivery to your home is also available.
USD 417 DiStrict Spotlight
It’s an exciting time to be a Brave & Twister! Student activities are in full swing across USD 417. At Council Grove High School, our students are hitting the courts and mats in basketball and wrestling, showcasing their knowledge in Scholars Bowl, and competing in the ever-growing world of Esports. At Council Grove Junior High, the basketball season is wrapping up strong with a few more games in January before wrestlers take the spotlight, and our JH Quiz Bowl team is gearing up for their season. And let’s not forget—all three of our buildings put on fantastic holiday concerts this month! Our students truly shined on stage and our teachers did a great job leading them.
MC Commission: EMS handled 900+ calls in 2025
The Morris County Commissioner meeting was called to order on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Commissioners David Fox, Jim Barber, and Wayne Kohler were present. Bill Kassebaum, County Counselor, and Chelsey Schmidt, County Clerk, were pre-sent.
