Luka Crosby, age 2, was captured preparing for a shot, on Saturday at Council Grove Elementary School where his grandparents Jim and Sue Crosby were coaching the 6th grade girls rec team. Luka is the son of Bailey Crosby. His grandmother Sue, told the Republican that Luka is all about basketball and has 5 hoops in his house.
Council Grove and Northern Heights placed six girl wrestlers combined at the 321A Regional Tournament Friday and Saturday in Silver Lake. The Lady Braves had four state qualifiers, and the Wildcats had two, including 170-pound champ Brenah Cannon.

A federal grand jury in Fort Worth has indicted five individuals in what prosecutors describe as a $220 million nationwide cattle investment fraud scheme that allegedly victimized more than 2,200 investors across the country, including operations tied to Kansas and a known location in Herington.
