PLAYING FOR BAKER

The regular meeting of the Flint Hills 4-H Club was called order, along with the Neosho Valley 4-H Club, for an exchange meeting on February 10, 2025 by President Cassidy Dalquest at the Morris County Fair Building. The pledge of allegiance was led by Daylen Nielsen and the 4-H Pledge was led by Taevyn Black. Roll call was “What is your favorite hobby outside of 4-H.” Roll call was answered by 12 members and 3 community leaders. Also in attendance was Extension Agent Ron Smith. The minutes were read by Mariette Thibodeaux and approved as read. Mariette also read correspondence from the Morris County Foundation. The treasurer reported that there was no change in the checking account balance. The reporter said the report was submitted to the Council Grove Republican. Council Rep reported that the next 4-H Council Meeting will be February 24, 2025 @ 6:30 p.m.

Over the coming weeks, the Postal Service is expected to begin implementing its Regional Transportation Optimization initiative. The RTO will end afternoon collections at nearly three-fourths of the country’s post offices and add another day to delivery times for outgoing mail and packages.
