Recommendations are now being accepted for the Barb Harkness Community Mentoring Award, also known as the “Because I Care...” award. The award is named for Barb Harkness and represents her selfless dedication to her community and the students of USD 417 throughout the years, even when it would have been understandable and easy for her to quit Harkness honored her commitment to the students in her mentoring group and completed four years of volunteering. The award honors a USD 417 senior who embodies the same dedication and commitment to community and people.
