MANHATTAN (AP) — Kansas agricultural officials are considering a quarantine to slow the spread of an invasive plant that’s threatening the state’s native grasses.
The Kansas Creative Arts Commission has notified the Historic Preservation Corporation, of Council Grove, of the approval of a grant funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, in the amount of $5,000.00, for a mural on the exterior south wall of the Trail Days Arts & History Center being developed at 805 W. Main Street.
Wild and Western action is set for the Santa Fe Trail Ranch Rodeo Friday and Saturday evenings, July 5-6.
