Two individuals from Quenemo, Kansas, were arrested on June 29, 2025, following the theft of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 reported stolen from the 2800 block of G Avenue.
The Council Grove Marina hosted a crowd-pleasing Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest on Saturday, July 5, as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. The event featured 55 participants across four age divisions and brought both locals and visitors together for a lighthearted competition.
Blueberries are out in full force when the weather warms. Blueberries are delicious freshly picked, and can be topped with some light cream for a refreshing dessert. Blueberries also are equally at home baked in muffins, breads and cobblers.
