Twenty-seven schools across Kansas, including Council Grove Elementary School and Middle School and Prairie Heights Elementary School in Alta Vista, will celebrate International Walk and Roll to School Day on Wednesday.
The City of Herington has been awarded a $25,000 implementation grant through the Office of Rural Prosperity’s Rural Champions program, a partnership with the Patterson Family Foundation. The funds will support the Herington Downtown Character Project, part of ongoing efforts to revitalize the city’s downtown district.
