Morris County Hosptial To Operate CG Assisted Living
On November 20, a change in ownership of the Council Grove Assisted Living Center (CGAL) was formally approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), who holds the note, which financed this project back in 2007, and has final say on any change in ownership. The Morris County Hospital Foundation is now the majority owner of CGAL, after this buyout of Robert Brooks’ ownership interest.
The team of local investors who own CGAL has elected to have Morris County Hospital (MCH) assume the operating oversight of this facility.
As MCH CEO Kevin Leeper indicated, “A hospital and an assisted living center share many 24/7 obligations in common. With our close proximity, we are confident that we can offer some meaningful level of support to the team at CGAL, and shave some of their expenses with some creative resource sharing.”
