Update from the Kansas Capitol

This past week, the Senate debated and voted on dozens of bills in addition to wrapping up committee work. The legislative session is scheduled to adjourn this coming Friday. These are small committees - made up of three Senators and three House members - who are assigned to negotiate differences between the Senate and House versions of bills. After negotiations, the compromise bill is put before the full Senate and the House for a vote.
