Lady Braves vs Lady Bulldogs Thursday, December 11 Chase County and Council Grove met in a second-round girls contest at the Herington Tournament, with the Lady Bulldogs earning a 36–23 victory over their Flint Hills League rival.
The Council Grove High School boys’ wrestling team finished a tight second to Hill City in Ellis Friday at the annual Railer Round Robin. The Braves, the defending tournament champions, had three bracket champs. Nate Seimers, Bradley Doornbos, and Tyler Hutchinson all won titles. Leo DeDonder and Wyatt Dobson notched hard-fought second-place finishes, and Cole Gerleman and Cameron Hagemann were both third.
