Morris County Hospital CEO Jim Reagan has announced his resignation effective August 31 to pursue a new career in the medical consulting field.
"It's been a privilege to serve Morris County Hospital and this community for the past 20-plus years," Reagan said in making the announcement. "We've seen a tremendous amount of change in the medical industry during that time. I'm especially proud of the fact that we've been able to expand our hospital and add numerous services to provide better care for patients in a financially sound manner.
"Morris County Hospital has been so fortunate to have such strong support from our County Commissioners, as well as an excellent staff and the community as a whole," he added. "More than ever, small rural hospitals face significant challenges to remain economically viable and without that support we would not have realized the success we've had."
