Darla Rae (Cahoone) Weiss, 63, died August 3, 2026, at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove. She was born January 25, 1963, in Wichita, to Zelma Maxine (Livesay) Cahoone and Howard Allen Cahoone.
Darla moved to Strong City in 1978 to live with her grandmother Lucille Cahoone and uncle Bill Cahoone. She worked for various places in the food service industry.
In 1987, she married Jon D. Weiss and had two sons; Tyler and Seth.
Darla is survived by: husband, Jon, of the home; sons, Tyler Weiss and wife Amanda, Seth Weiss and wife Kaylene; step-daughter, Tamara Moots and husband Joel; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Rylee, Cy, Cope, Brandon and Noah; and sister, Debrah Houston Bupp.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Tom Barlow and Bruce Cahoone.
Darla’s wishes were to be cremated. Private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Morris County Hospital, in care of Brown-Bennett- Alexander Funeral Home PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
