The Chase County Lady Bulldogs volleyball team finished third at the Hartford Invitational after going undefeated in pool play and posting a 4-1 record for the tournament.
Chase County opened pool play with a 25-20, 26-24 victory over MdCV before defeating Oskaloosa, 25-19, 25-22. The Lady Bulldogs completed an undefeated run through their pool with a 25-20, 25-18 win over Northeast Kansas Homeschool.
The Lady Bulldogs advanced to bracket play, where they faced Mission Valley. Chase County dropped the opening set, 23-25, before responding with a 25-21 victory in the second set. Mission Valley took the deciding set, 25-14, handing Chase County its only loss of the tournament.
Chase County then faced MdCV for a second time in the third-place match. The Lady Bulldogs won in straight sets, 25-18, 25-16, to secure third place.
